I can't even believe I was able to find a pan this size that doesn't have rolled edges to trap all sorts of bacteria and the bends are so very perpendicular, not rounded -exactly what I wanted because it's for making "bars;" you know, like energy bars.  I have a question about the construction, though: There is some kind of clear substance that looks like plastic on the outsides of the corners.  What is that?  Will it melt in the oven?

I have not opened our package yet, since it is a Christmas gift for my wife. We used to have an 8x11 pan and she used it extensively.  Then we had a house fire and the pan was never seen again!  I was excited to find it available on your site, and ordered it right away.  We have 9x13x2, but this smaller size is not available in stores.

This pan makes a nice tall sheet cake which is easy to split and fill.  It is my favorite pan to use.  I lost all of my cake pans in the Paradise, CA fire and I am trying to slowly replace them.
